A two and a quarter length victory for Long Symphony at Ffos Las bought a wonderful first season for the Laura Horsfall Racing Club to a close in fine style.
Under an astute ride from Charlie Price, our 6 year old travelled well once he settled to back up his bumper win at Wetherby just 2 months prior. Still plenty of work to do as he turned for home, Long Symphony battled to front and after pinging the last, extended to win well at odds of 18/1.
The Wetherby bumper form is holding up well, a winner and 3 places from horses that finished behind us on that day. We've already schooled him fences and confident that there's even more improvement to come when he goes over the larger obstacles, exciting times ahead.
It's been a season of ups and downs for Racing Club that took in all emotions of horse ownership. We visited 6 different courses across all four corners of the racing map, enjoyed plenty of hospitality and got in the winner's enclosure twice, with more than the odd breakfast morning at the yard thrown in inbetween.
