Laura Horsfall Racing: The Look Ahead

A week or two of weather watching as the rain continues to fall intermittently. Good for some, not good for others, fingers crossed we get some suitable ground for our runners this week.

LOVEYOUTOTHEMOON has been declared for Worcester on Monday but we could do without the forecast rain. If you find her entry details you'll see she'll wear blinkers and a hood, it's not an admin mistake, she has her way of doing things and can get lit up in the early part of a race. She wears the hood to help her settle and the blinkers to help her concentrate, in fine form at home we're hopeful of a good run if the weather holds up.

JUST A WHIM holds an entry at Uttoxeter on Tuesday in both the Maiden over 2m7f and the Handicap over the same distance. We'll monitor declarations and see which is the best option but will need the rain to hold off again. We saw at Fontwell she just can't jump as well out of the softer ground. Unfortunately she was due to run at Southwell last week but came into season, back racing now though and we're hopeful of putting the Fontwell run behind us.

Talking of mares in season, word from FOLLOW THE PAINT's new home that she is a fat mummy to be (above)

STORM ARCADIO also holds an entry at Uttoxeter but we'll probably miss and take up an option at Stratford next Sunday where we'll be looking to build on his placed effort last time out.
