Laura Horsfall Racing: The Look Ahead

Busy week so feels like we're a bit behind with the updates. All horses came out of their races last week fine. STAITHES travelled really well at Fakenham and we were optimistic as he came to 3 out but he just couldn't go the pace of the front two at the business end of proceedings.

JUST A WHIM earned herself a short holiday after her handicap debut at Fontwell. The heavens opened on the way down to post which didn't do her chances any good, running in a later race the ground had opened up and it doesn't take too much rain to get into the ground at the track. The downpour far from the only excuse though, Tabitha reported she made a mistake 3 out when the hurdle in front of her was flattened, the mistake just checked her stride and by the time she'd regained momentum the race was done. JUST A WHIM will be back in a month or so.

LOVEYOUTOTHEMOON ran a creditable race at Huntingdon and jumped like a bunny despite not staying the early pace. A race of mixed emotions as the eventual winner Jimmi Chew racked up his 3rd handicap win for Alex Hales, Jimmi started his racing career with us as a 4 year old and ran for us in a Point at Bangor (you can blame us for the naming as well). Always fun following our ex-stable stars.

Only one entry this week, CESAR DU GOUET returns to Bangor on Saturday, we've stepped him up in trip and a return to the Welsh track where he placed last season. Bit of rain won't go a miss but we go there positive regardless.

LOVEYOUTOTHEMOON and Ellie who rides her everyday at Huntingdon while JUST A WHIM starts a well earned holiday dreaming of winning a few races.
